All the best pieces from the graduated collections of the young students of Harim Accademia Euromediterranea presented in a fascinating and sophisticated fashion editorial by the designer and stylist Alessia Avellone.
Sometimes happens to see a mature and already professional work made by a student. It can appear incredible, but this thing testify the high quality level of the Italian fashion schools. This is the case of Harim Accademia Euromediterranea. We’ve already presented the graduate collections of its students during the Fashion Graduate Italia last month (here the article), but today I want to present the remarkable work made by Alessia Avellone, the stylist who curated the realization of this fashion editorial.

Alessia is a 23-years-old Palermitan girl who studied at Harim Accademia Euromediterranea, graduating in 2017 with the menswear collection entitled “Ανδρεας – Andréas”, one of the most interesting proposals at Fashion Graduate Italia. Her style is characterized by a bit of eccentricity and obscurity, with cultured references to historical costume and Haute Couture.
This fashion editorial is her final work for the school’s fashion styling course and she decided to present all the best and iconic pieces of her classmates’ graduate collections in an intriguing photo story inspired by the movie “Sleepaway camp” (1983).
“Who’s Angela?” portrays an ambiguous man who is hiding his true nature. Cuts and contrasts of light and darkness in the pictures refer to the movie scenes and show the radical change of the main character. He begins his experience at the camp as a quiet boy, who later turns into a raffish and perverted man. Genderless style proceeds from preppy clothing to more sophisticated looks, by mixing sportswear and glam rock apparel, skinny and oversize fit. Shorts, hot pants and crop tops are the main features of this evolution from 60s to 90s. Female and male clothing define an eccentric man of many personalities, but never ordinary.
