3 days for aspiring fashion designers at FASHION GRADUATE ITALIA

Finally in Milan the first event opened to the city and dedicated to aspiring designers and students. At Fashion Graduate Italia, from 5th to 7th November at BASE Milan, we will find the most important fashion schools of Italy, with talks, workshops, graduate fashion shows, exhibitions and educational booths.

Fashion Graduate Italia will be a special event and an incredible occasion to know the world of fashion schools through meetings with teachers and professionals, a place where to test creativity and skills with interesting workshops and see the innovative vision of the students during their graduate fashion shows.

Lauched by PSFM (Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda), a platform that unifies many important realities of the Italian educational panorama, this 3-days event is the first opened to aspiring fashion designers and simple onlookers (with invite that you can find here) who can establish contact with fashion schools, see the most beautiful graduate collections of their young students and approach to all the exciting behind-the-scene works of fashion system.

The purposes of this initiative are multiple. One one side it wants to connect young people interested to fashion with the real world of apparel production and communication, explaining the design processes and the different educative methods of each school, giving a useful orientation in the flood of diverse proposals.

The other purpose is to make an important comparison between different approaches, analysing educational processes that are in continue evolution in this so fast fashion world.

Third but not less important purpose is to explain fashion not only about its superficial meanings or as simple production system of clothing and accessories. Fashion, through talks with ex students, designers, teachers, journalists and magazine editors, will be presented as a cultural fact, an artistic and conceptual approach to design, as emphasis of artisanal skills, as a way to express talent and ambition to improve our future.

Schools and Academies at FASHION GRADUATE ITALIA

Important part of the event is the fashion contest launched for the future generation of creatives who actually are studying at professional and artistic high schools and have sent their portfolios that can be voted on the official website during all the three days. Will be awarded the best 3 collections with special mentions for concept research, originality, graphic presentation, illustration and technical skills. The winners will be announced at the end of the third day and their works will appear on the official website and social profiles (Instagram and Facebook)

This event is realized thanks to the partecipation of many important schools and academies and the partnership and patronage of fashion associations and productive and communication realities.
